David and I have two friendly, imaginative daughters who are in daycare from 7:30am-5pm daily. They love playing make believe games, watching Daniel Tiger, and singing made up songs. Our oldest is 3.5 years old and our youngest is almost 1-year-old. They adore each other and are easy-going kids.
My husband and I both work in education. I oversee student life at Stevens Institute of Technology (Hoboken) and Ben is a clinical child psychologist at the Collegiate School in Manhattan. We moved to Maplewood from Brooklyn about 2 years ago. Our kids are hilarious and a lot of fun. They both love art, dance, playing outside, music, skiing, and eating sweets.
We are a family of five living in South Orange. Margie (mom) is originally from Philadelphia and works as an elementary teacher in Hudson County. She leaves early for work each day. Denis (dad) is originally from Ireland and works as an accountant in Newark. We have twin boys who are 12 years old & a 10 year old daughter. We enjoy spending many weekends and summers at our vacation home in the Poconos. We are looking for a student 1 hour each morning (from 6:15-7:15am). The school bus picks up the children at 7:15am across the street from our house. The bus drops the children home by 3:30pm. We need someone at 3:30pm for a few hours to help with homework. The children have after school activities, but homework is the first priority. The boys play flag football in the fall. All three children play basketball in the winter. We have a piano teacher come to our house once a week. Maggie enjoys sewing and takes weekly classes in South Orange.
The children attend St. Rose of Lima Academy located in Short Hills.
*We have a private third floor bedroom/bathroom & are open to having a student live with us and work a few hours each week.
*We are looking for someone for the 2020-21 school year (beginning in September)
We are a friendly and communicative family, new to town, and looking for sitter who connects with the kids and keeps them happy and safe after school. We have had great relationships with our sitters in Brooklyn had one for two school years and two others for a year each - who we are still in touch with. The kids are into sports and games and music and books and are enthusiastic about lots of activities most especially playing with their friends on the block. They like play dates and love playing with/connecting with sitters. They get along well together and and with other kids. We have a cat who mostly keeps to herself but not a fit of you have allergies.
Alan and I are both originally from New Jersey. I grew up on North Caldwell, and he grew up on Paramus. Alan is a real estate attorney, and I am the Executive Director at Newark Public Schools. We have two wonderful kids, Andie, our four year old daughter and Max, our two year old son. They are happy and fun children with infectious smiles. We are looking for someone to start in September.
