Hi there! I'm looking for occasional babysitting on weekday evenings. Start time would be 5pm and end time would be around 10pm. I have 2 boys, the younger is 2 months and the older is 3 years. The position entails preparing quick & easy dinner for the 3 year old, feeding and changing the baby as needed, and playing with both boys until bedtime at 8pm.
-- first aid / CPR trained
-- experience with infants
-- ability to commit to a date at least a week in advance
-- vaccines up to date (and willing to get flu shot)
We also have 2 small dogs who are very friendly and sweet. They don't require any care beyond being let out in the backyard as needed.
Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions about the position. Thank you!
We moved to NJ from Brooklyn a few years ago and are finally feeling grounded here. We have a workshop in our home that I work out of. Nick (My Husband) works in NYC, London and India. We would love a regular sitter to come twice a week after school/ evenings to enable my husband and I to spend time together and attend cultural events (thinking Thursdays, maybe Fridays and Saturdays) . I am from Washington DC and am cultural worker Nick works as a VP in Human Resources in a Global Company. We love to have art materials/ projects available for kids to engage in. Noli and Kiri are close. They are really looking forward to finding a sitter to play with and look up to. Our cousin has been sitting for us but she is only 15 and we would like to connect with someone who can drive.
I work at Rutgers Business School in New Brunswick and Newark, and my wife (Melody) works in NYC (in Finance). We have a son, Henry (10) entering 5th grade and a daughter, Molly (6) entering 1st grade. We moved to South Orange (not far from Seton Hall) from NYC a little over 5 years ago and love the area. Henry plays baseball, plays piano, does cub scouts, and loves photography and YouTube (unfortunately). He and I love watching movies together with popcorn and soda. Molly has taken Hip-Hop classes at Class Act, played softball one season, and is a Daisy girl scout. She is simultaneously goofy, intense/stubborn, and loving at the same time, and likes playing card games like Rat-a-tat Cat.
Hi, We are a family of 4. Both my husband and I work so we are looking for an after-school sitter take care of our 1st and 4th graders. They enjoy having fun, playing, learning from their care-takers. We love to spend time as a family whether is cooking at home, playing outside, or traveling. We are looking forward to having a great sitter addition for our family.
We seek a loving, creative caretaker to spend the afterschool hours with our 2.75 year old and 6 year old daughters. Both will be in school until 3 PM, so you would be required to pick them up and bring them to our home. Afterschool activities may include trips to the playground, library, and the occasional afterschool class. Dinner prep (for the girls) will be required, as both parents work in Manhattan. Daily hours M-F 2:45 to 6:30 PM. Our girls are well behaved and lots of fun! Hope to hear from you if you enjoy working on puzzles, imaginative play, reading books, and being creative.
My husband and I have 2 children, a 5 year about to go into kindergarten and a 3 year old. I am a occupational therapist, working for a local school district (hence the need for the early morning help ?). Their dad works for a construction company in Manhattan. We have been living in Maplewood for 4 years but neither of us are from New Jersey, so we are still learning so much about the area! We love going to the South Mountain reservation to take the kids hiking, and we are all starting to learn to fish ?.
